This tour takes you to Uganda’s best national parks with a mix of wildlife and primates. You will begin with a visit to Kidepo Valley National park which is home to over 80 mammal species including 28 species that are endemic to this place across the whole of Uganda. some of the animals you will see include: lions, and eland, Elephants, oribi, defassa water buck, Buffaloes, bohor reed buck, striped hyena, Giraffes, bush duskier, 5 kinds of primates, aardwolf, caracal, Jackson’s hartebeest, bat-eared fox, cheetahs, bush buck and hunting dog. Don’t miss the visit to the Karamojong community. Later you will visit Murchison falls, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth national park as well as trekking the mountain gorillas in Bwindi forest.
Day 1 – Arrival in Uganda
On arrival at the Entebbe Airport you will be welcomed by our safari tour guide from 1000 Shades of Green who will transfer to your hotel in Entebbe. Dine and spend the night at Protea Hotel Entebbe. B.B
Day 2 – Kampala City Tour
Today morning you will have a city tour in Kampala during which you will visit a number of cultural and historic sites including the including the Baha’i Temple, Uganda Museum, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Nomo (National) Gallery, Makerere University, Gaddafi Mosque, Markets, Kabaka’s Palace, Rubaga Cathedral and the National Theatre. In the afternoon, you will visit the craft markets to see some of Uganda’s nice raft pieces. Dine and spend the night at at Protea Hotel Entebbe. B.B
Day 3 – Fly to Kidepo National Park from Entebbe
In the morning you will have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Entebbe airport where you will transfer to Kidepo National Park. This will be a 2 and half hours flight to the airstrip. On arrival transfer to Apoka lodge, relax, later have lunch, and in the evening go for a game drive in the park. Dine and spend the night at Savannah Lodge. B.L.D
Day 4 – Explore Kidepo Valley National Park
You will have an early breakfast before setting off for a morning game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park to see various animals and if lucky see a cheetah and lions. You will return and relax at your lodge as you wait for lunch. in the afternoon you will go for another exciting game safari. This park is home to over 80 mammal species including 28 species that are endemic to this place across the whole of Uganda. some of the animals you will see include: lions, and eland, Elephants, oribi, defassa water buck, Buffaloes, bohor reed buck, striped hyena, Giraffes, bush duskier, 5 kinds of primates, aardwolf, caracal, Jackson’s hartebeest, bat-eared fox, cheetahs, bush buck and hunting dog. After return for lunch at the lodge and in the evening visit the Karamojong community. These are a people who externally resemble the Masai pastoralists.
They move with their herds of cattle across the open terrain searching for fresh pastures for their animals, and wear a traditional shawl mainly red. Dine and spend the night at Savannah Lodge. B.L.D
Day 5 – Transfer to Murchison falls National Park
After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the airstrip enjoying a final tour in the park. You will catch a flight to Murchison falls and then be transferred to Paara safari Lodge where you will your lunch, rest and then have a game drive in the evening. Dine and spend the night at Pakuba Safari Lodge. B.L.D
Day 6 – Game and Boat Cruise Murchison Falls NP
Today you will have a game drive in the morning and see Elephants, Lions, Buffalos, Giraffes and Hartebeests among others. In the afternoon after lunch, you will have a boat cruise on River Nile, to the bottom of the waterfalls. Some of the animals you will see include: waterbucks, hippos and crocodiles, plus several beautiful bird including the uncommon shoebill stork. Your boat will stop just a couple of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”, to enable you take clear pictures of the falls. Dine and sleep at at Pakuba safari Lodge. B.L.D
Day 7 – Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Following breakfast you will transfer to Kibale Forest national park driving through beautifully the verdant valleys and terraced hill. On arrival n the afternoon, check in, then later have a nature walks around. Dine and sleep at Kibale Guest Cottages. B.L.D
Day 8 – Chimpanzee tracking & Bigodi walk
Today you will set out in the forest in the company of the forest tour guides to track chimpanzees in Kibale Forest; unique about this forest is that it has the highest number of primates in the region. You will have lunch back to lodge and in the afternoon enjoy a nature walk in Bigodi swamp a great place to see the different bird species in this park. Dine and sleep at Kibale Guest Cottages. B.L.D
Day 9 – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Following breakfast you will checkout and set off for a 3 hours drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park driving through Kasese town located in the shadows of the snow capped Mountain Rwenzori and the crater lakes region. On arrival you will have lunch rest and later have a game drive in the evening. Later, take a sunset game-drive to end the day in an adventurous style. Dine and sleep at Marafiki Lodge. B.L.D
Day 10 – Game drive, Kazinga Boat Cruise
You will wake up early for game drive in the park led by our informative safari-guide who will point out the various wild animals you will come across during this expedition. Have lunch back at the lodge and then take enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel during which you will see large schools of hippos and birds. Dine and sleep Marafiki Lodge. B.L.D
Day 11 – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi having a game drive along the way. You will arrive at Lake Bunyonyi in the afternoon, have lunch and then enjoy some of the different activities around this lake. Dine and spend the night at Bird’s Nest Lodge. B.L.D
Day 12 – Travel back to Kampala City
Have breakfast, checkout of your lodge and then drive to the capital Kampala, if time allows you will have a city tour and shop around for souvenirs. Dine ans spend the night at Serena Kampala Hotel.
Day 13 – Transfer to Mbale
Our Safari guide from 1000 Shades of Green will pick you up from the Hotel after your breakfast and transfer to Eastern Uganda. Have a stopover in Jinja town to visit the Source of River Nile then proceed to the beautiful Sipi falls which presents as a 3 level series of waterfalls. It is a very beautiful place worth visiting on this safari. You will dine and spend the night at Mountain Elgon Hotel
Day 14 – Return to Kampala, Departure
Today is the final day of our amazing safari, you will drive back to Kampala and basing on yor departure time be transferred to Entebbe International air port in time for your flight back home.
