Meet our highly experienced safari rangers as you trek the Rwanda gorillas in volcanoes and hike Mount Bisoke that stands at 3700m, with typical conic shape of a “perfect” volcano and in its crater lies a deep crater lake. The ascent typically takes around 3 hours.
Day 1 – Arrival and transfer to – Volcanoes National Park
Today you will meet our highly skilled safari guide from 1000 Shades of Green who will welcome you and lead on this 3 day Gorilla and Bisoke hike Safari. In case you arrive early, we shall have a Kigali City Tour, else he will drive you Volcanoes National Park found in the northern part of the country. This park is home to over 300 of the 800 mountain gorillas remaining in the entire world. You will dine and spend the night at Moutain Gorilla View Lodge-B.L.D
Day 2 – Bisoke Hike
You will wake up very early today and by 7:30am converge at the headquarters of the park where you while be briefed about the hiking adventure and then begin the hike led by a park ranger. In addition, you will be availed with 2 porters who will assist carry your backpack (in case you have any) as well as support you as you traverse the slippery forest paths. This thrilling hike takes 2-4 hours to reach the peak and then 2 hours descending . In the vening you will visit Dian Fossey Tomb and later return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Moutain Gorilla View Lodge-B.L.D
Day 3 – Gorilla Tracking- Departure
Today morning, we shall return to the headquarters of the park as we prepare to track mountain gorillas. We shall be briefed about this amazing activity and detailed about the guidelines to follow, and be assigned park rangers who will lead us on the gorilla trek. You will be assigned a gorilla family to track basing on you physical ability. We you find the gorillas you will be allowed to spend one hour with them as you take photographs and observe them. After gorilla tracking, we shall transfer back to the capital Kigali and head to the airport for your departure flight. B.L.D
